For anyone who has been following my posts on WoV about the eclipse pretty much since the founding of that site, I wrote a blog entry about it on WoO: Total Eclipse 2017. Like everything else in life, it's the planning and the anticipation that are the fun parts. The event itself is usually a yawner. Like the Superbowl or a vacation or Y2K. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Hopefully it was better than the Wonder Woman movie at least. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

You know, the 2024 Eclipse passes above Cleveland. I think we know someone who lives there. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

Yes, we do! I'm already hitting up a friend in Austin for a place to stay but I'll keep Teddy in mind as a backup plan. The chances for clear skies I'm sure are better in Texas. Worth noting that Mazatlan is also right in the path. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

Great write up and pictures Wizard! I was in Rexburg for totality and it was awesome. Venus was very bright and clear during totality. I wish I was able to capture the actual level of light in a picture, but the auto exposure on my phone made everything light. It was actually dark, but not pitch black, with the 360 glow on the horizon all around and the Sun's corona providing plenty of light. Texas in 2024 is definitely on the calendar. |

Trump's last year in office, sad. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Not if a hurricane decides to move in...
Yeah, but why go to a crowded resort area? It also goes over Torreón, Coahuila, which is absolutely near nothing else, but has daily air service to MEX. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

Waco is pretty far inland so not too much risk of that. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |
