That reminds me, this is where I gripe about the goldurn!!! over large vehicles and trucks with gas tanks like supertankers using up all the gasoline. Gonna be the death of everyone if there ever needs to be a major US exodus somewhere with all those gas pigs filling up their tanks.

During real emergencies there is usually a
limit, like 10 gal, on how much gas you can
buy at any one time. This is easily controlled
inside the gas station.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Gas stations, even in N. Florida where I live have been short or out of gasoline for 3-4 days now.

One thing they are going to do soon near the main highway here (I-75) is send out buses and let people leave their cars on the side of the road.. Then bring them here to shelters.

(a director probably could use that footage in a movie-- miles of abandoned cars )

Instead of buses they should be sending fuel trucks like they did during the Fort MacMurray fire evacuation.

Are you going anywhere or hunkering down? Are you worried? Are people around you worried? Is the media misleading us all?

I'm not in an evac zone. So staying. Things could change, but no signs of that so far.

By this time tomorrow, I'll probably know for sure.

Right now it looks like it's avoiding the
East coast of FL and going up the less
populated West coast. It might not
be as bad as everybody thinks, the
MSM will be heartbroken. They
won't be able to blame Trump very
much, like they did with Harvey.

Population map.

Good chance Key West is going to look like some of those islands it already hit.

You have this all wrong EB. The hurricanes are sent by God to punish us for believing we are stronger than him and causing global warming.

I thought it was because we elected Trump? Or let the Pate win the SB?

I can't keep it all straight.

Went to Wallmart last nite to look for non perishable foods
There is a huge run on this type of food
Perfect timing.
I get to Wallmart at 11pm
They are working hard stocking the shelves on the late shift
I spot tuna fish on a huge pallet. Total score getting tuna fish.
I spot peanut butter on a pallet. Get some of that

I wouldn't be surprised if I am without power a few days to a week
Hunkering down in Tampa as the mother**cker heads straight for me

I'm ready to stay or leave. Still no evacuation orders though. I would like to zig while the storm zags, but the path has to be clear enough to decide.

50 mile right or left of it could make some difference, but not much good if you pick wrong.

My parents and sister live in a small city called Cape Coral which is a cape right outside of Ft. Myers. It is not looking good for that area.
