iPhone #1 for $19,500

Are people crazy enough to buy a ten year old, now obsolete, consumer item in a box for 40X it's original price? |

No indication that it is anything other than the millions of iphones sold at that time. They went on sale on June 29, 2007 for $599 and by early September the model with 8GB of storage was reduced to $399. One million iPhones were sold in 74 days. But by the time the phone was discontinued on July 15, 2008 total sales were 6.1 million units. Had I bought one I would probably keep it as memento, as the original phone is relatively rare. The next model sold a million units in one weekend. |

I've managed to pay exactly noting for an iphone 4, a Galaxy Note 3, and the Galaxy J2. The last time I considered paying for a phone, it would have been the Moto G in 2014 for around $290 or so, if memory serves. I wound up with an iphone 4 for free. I just think it's insane to pay $1,000 for a phone, even if it has genuine Steve Jobs DNA in it or something. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |
