Warning in Puerto Rico

Can't get a much stronger warning. Real hard to dodge on an island.

Maybe someone can clear up federal funding? Not a state -- entitled to disaster relief?

in public.

Category four is hitting Puerto Rico right now. I hear the island has mountains so surge shouldn't be a problem but mudslides and bribery in building inspections may be a problem.

Sinkholes? Some laws impose owners of large tracts to attempt remediation so I understand it can be safer to buy small tracts with no history of sinkhole problems. Why doesn't Florida just tie leashes to Parrot fish and drop them into the sinkhole????????

Public urination/defecation? A lone jogger in Colorado gets more publicity than all those homeless people.

Have to wonder if this doesn't push them over the edge to official BK?

A Caribbean island having hurricane problems,
who would have thought this could happen.
The horror, the horror of GW.

Entire island without electrical power.
Perhaps that makes it safer for the line crews?

It's wonderful news for the island. Because
they're a US territory, congress now has to
spend untold billions fixing everything. PR
is 75B in debt, almost in bankruptcy, their
electric grid was in shambles and near collapse
anyway. Now we get to go even further into debt to
bail them out.
