From what I understand the NFL will not fine players, but each team will be required to fine the offending players. I wonder if there will be a team that chooses $1 as the fine?

Hard to say. The minimum fine may be in the CBA.

Way back in the day, L.C. Greenwood wore gold shoes and got a fine every game. Depending on who you believe, either the Steelers paid the NFL for him, or the other story is they issued a fine but "forgot" to collect it. So teams can play games with it. Question is will they support protesting players or the majority of fans buying the tickets?

New NFL policy requires on-field players, personnel to stand for anthem.

Sad that it takes a policy. I still suspect a few players will keep making asses out of themselves, not caring about any fines.

I think a lot of teams will just stay in the locker room
I hardly watch any football due to CTE. I just don't find inflicted brain damage entertaining.
I take part in the WOV pool but just throwing darts at a board with my picks. Takes me just a few seconds to pick.
Would rather watch Baseball and Basketball where ex-players age gracefully
Brett Farve cant remember jack. That's horrifying to me

NY Jets just announced kneeling will be ok.
Any fines will be paid by the team
Does the NFL really want to have a situation where its ok to kneel on some teams but not others
How about just let players do what ever they want before a game and evaluate players strictly on their actions on the field during a game

Profanity. Given the many recent infractions for other stuff, I'll be lenient and make it seven days only.

I will listen to old football players bearing in mind that their brain is probably damaged.
I find it absolutely shocking that Brett Farve cant remember jack.
I have no doubt when he passes away and his family hopefully donates his brain to research, they will find severe CTE
I also respected Jim Brown as a running back
but on the flip side
He was not a team player. Jim Brown didn't block.

And the flight captain doesn’t serve drinks. What’s your point?

NFL players are still protesting and the NFL aint doing jack
I actually find the situation hilarious
NFL football is the intersection where white conservative fans that practically worship football (Texas state religion) and Black America supplying the talent meet.
To me its much ado about nothing.
Its not a perfect country.
The protesting really is simply symbolic that does not tread on anybody' rights.
Its an extremely easy protest to ignore.
At a game, there is so much pageantry going on, its hard to notice what players are doing on the sideline.
Its one of the most passive protests I have ever seen
Yet Trump and conservatives will go nuts and bonkers about this. LOL

I think what really upsets conservatives against NFL players protesting, they cant boycott the NFL
I have no problem not watching the NFL
I actually boycott due to CTE.
I find it really really easy not to watch football (I participate in the WOV pool for fun and pick without watching games)
yet
Football still very popular because conservatives don't have the backbone I have
LOL
