If you only got 1 minute in on shoes, you didn't make it to the true nadir. The kid wants the shoes because mommy's meeting Jesus tonight (dying on Christmas Eve) and she wants to look her best.
Actually, I did get that far. And I thought that the song wasn’t a Christmas song, but rather Christian music.
Ignorance is bliss and knowledge is power. But having only some facts can get you into trouble!

Speaking of which, there must be some awful Christmas song by Davy & Goliath, but fortunately none come to mind.

Now that the stink of Xmas Shoes in beginning to fade, here's one that's not quite so noxious.

I dare you to top this. 1980, when
AIDS was new and we never heard
of it. I always hated when this douche
was on Carson. Most bad taste Xmas
song ever.

If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

WTF, it's Xmas already? Walmart has been
decorating all weekend, Hween was just
a couple days ago. Nov 10th is the earliest
I've seen it, this is a week earlier. Have
seen at least 3 commercials for the holidays
this weekend.

Makes me hate Xmas even more than I do.
Does Xmas celebrate the myth of Jesus birth
or the myth of his death, I can never remember.
Both are made up stories, what's the difference.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

p.s. Why is the e before the i in reindeer?

There are actually many exceptions to the "i before e except after c" rule. A big bunch of them make the long "a" sound

In the late 1400's when printing first began, printers hired from Netherland sometimes used Dutch spellings, such as adding an h after g, turning words like gost into ghost. Although many of the changes they made were later weeded out, some of them, like ghost and ghastly, are still with us.

Many simple spellings became more complex, eg frend > friend, hed > head, seson > season, fondnes > fondnesse, shal > shall.

The difficulty of English spelling today partly comes from a change in the sound of spoken English which took place gradually between the 15th and the early 17th centuries. This affected mainly the seven long vowels of Middle English, and is known as the Great Vowel Shift.

c.1400 c.1600 c.2000

bee bay by
bay bee bee
fair fear fee
lah lair lay
boot * boat bout
boat boot boot
taut tote tote

* Where the original oo vowel was followed by certain consonants, eg m or p, it hasn't changed

Sung to the tune of Walzing Matilda (few here may know it)
