This is pushing my brain cells as far as they can go but I very vaguely recall playing by the rule where you had to be in the same room as in your accusation when I played Clue about 40 years ago (advice to the young -- don't get old). I seem to recall races to get to whatever room it was.

As I wrote before, I'm a firm "no" if we're voting on this idea.

There is actually a forum devoted to play and discussion of Clue/Cluedo in all its forms, apparently including live competitions. They have a bit over 500 members. That's where I found the 1956 rules in downloadable form. Anybody wants the link posted, I'll find it again.
