I still say "crick" is a hick term for "creek."

You know who you're talking to, right? lol

I don't have the PA accent (sure = shore, sorry = sore-ry). I use meelworms at the steelmill while eating peenuts all day long. And oddly, the proper noun version is usually "ee". Cattaraugus Creek, Clear Creek, Big Sister's Creek. Common noun, though, creek sounds weird. Almost pretentious, like rolling your R's when ordering carne asada "I'm going down to the creek" just sounds impatient and confrontational. "Downda crick" is more where I'll be.

I have a crik that runs around my
property, always called it a crik, so
does everybody else.

Maybe I'm being too judgmental about it. Could just be a regional thing and both are acceptable.

Here's a nice map of the results of a creek/crick pronunciation survey.

I grew up in Central New York State, where the natives pronounced the word as crick. I would never say crick, though.

Not sure what you are saying? " Patty Duke died on the morning of March 29, 2016 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho of sepsis from a ruptured intestine at the age of 69."

It was her cousin. Identical cousin. They laugh alike, they walk alike. At times they even talk alike. etc.,
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

Ah. My mistake. It was forwarded yesterday to my FB as if it had just happened. I didn't register the date of it.
