TMZ reports this. He wasn't on much or at all last season, so I thought he was dead already. He was a verrrrry old 77.

first season that people went to
the shop for years said he was a
raving asshole. Mean, nasty, cursing,
always in a bad mood. They really
toned him down for the show. His
real attitude was, this is my offer, take
it or get the hell out.

Watch the first season, he can barely
be patient with people. Some of his
nastiness bleeds through, he can't help
it. He squints his eyes and looks like
a rattlesnake at times..

But that is what it takes to run a pawn shop. When you are dealing at that level, if you are not like that you will be eaten alive.

on the mean-ness level. He had real rep
in Vegas for not haggling and being
mean and nasty if you tried. If you watch
the early ep's, you can see this bleed
through. Most pawn shops will dicker
on the price, Harrison refused to do that.
I've dealt with guys like that, very unpleasant
people.

I have seen the same type running very low income housing. You can't be remotely nice.

Its been confirmed. Wolf-Man died on a Colorado wolf preserve. He had obviously been a military officer long ago, probably in the Russian army though that is unknown. I met him when he was running an Upper West Side health food store in NYC. I had heard rumors of his death before but was only able to confirm it today. My prior source proved to be very unreliable. Wolf Man had a habit of forcing male shoppers in his store to "drop and give me twenty". Many of them were first time shoppers but that never bothered him. He took one look at my gargantuan central obesity and swore at me for probably five minutes straight, maybe more.
High prices on his merchandise (everything "healthy" in NYC was high priced back then).
Didn't find out if he had been eaten by the wolves he was living with. Guess it doesn't make much difference.

It is a good show if you can accept how staged it is. I have known two people on it and both were asked to come in because they had unique items.
