HAL died. Or at least his voice did. Canadian actor who played HAL's voice died recently.

Katherine MacGregor, who played petty, gossiping mother Harriet Oleson on TV’s “Little House on the Prairie,” has died, a representative said Wednesday. She was 93.

Oh no! That is one that does hit me hard. I will take on anybody in Little House on the Prairie trivia. I watched it religiously as a kid and recently went through the whole series again with my daughter, although I skipped some that were just too corny.

I think KM lived in Santa Barbara at the same time I did. A friend of mine said she approached her at a restaurant and she, KM, was super nice and totally the opposite of her character, Harriet Olson.

How do you tell the difference between
the corny and uncorny. I was an adult
when it came on, they all looked the
same to me.

As one example, there was an episode where Carrie made up an invisible friend, who she played with in her dreams. As everyone knows, it was a set of twins who played Carrie. However, in that episode one played Carrie and one played the invisible friend. The only time both appeared on camera at the same time. Still, the episode was totally lame. It did not advance the overall story of the show at all.

BTW, I think the reason Carrie was always such a minor character, even as a teenager, was the actresses who played here were lousy.

Also, my younger brother was in the same classroom as them. They lived in Rossmoor, where we went to elementary school.

The show was a fantasy anyway, they
lived a lot better than the family in
the book lived. The same on the Walton's,
they lived way better than a poor
Depression family lived. They had
electric, a big radio, a truck, and I
think a phone. Or they had access
to a phone. My dad was on a farm
in the Depression and had none of
that stuff.

Sargent York was on the "tube" the other day, so I watched about the last half of it. Still a good movie, even if dated.

You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

Clark was a musical savant. He could play
anything with strings on it just by picking
it up and messing with it.

Can you do this?

Or this.
