From what I have seen, the "liberal biased fake news media" has expressed nothing but respect for President George H. W. Bush.

Twenty six years is a long time. Politics seems almost quaint after that much time. It's difficult to believe that after the trade imbalance of $66B in 1991, President Bush was unseated mostly by Perot raving about NAFTA.

Which is amusing because they had so little respect for him back in the 1990s.

What you clearly do not understand is what they "loved" was that they could dump on him day after day, week after week, and he rarely if ever fought back. They are saying, "POTUS Trump, you are supposed to let us destroy your credibility, don't you understand how this is supposed to work?"

A trade deficit is a sign of a strong economy.

Sondra Locke, 74. Remember her, she was
Clint Eastwoods GF in the 70's and 80's
and was in all his movies.

She was there because he wanted he there. I do still like the scene in the old sports book in "The Gauntlet."

Looks like the family kept it quiet for a few weeks.

She was 16 years younger than Eastwood,
and he kept her around for a long time.
Eastwood was a chick magnet in the
70's and 80's in his town of Carmel. I
remember reading gorgeous women
would approach him in restaurants
and throw themselves at him. He was
such a huge star in the late 60's, you
can have no idea unless you were there.
We all wanted to be him.

Is anyone tallying this for purposes of the sidepool? I'm curious where things stand. I'm sure I'm in for $20, but doubt I'm in the running.

I didn't know what an asshole Eastwood
was to her. After living together for 14
years, he locked her out of their house
in 1989. She sued and Eastwood
set up a production company for her. Then
he sabotaged every one of her projects
for the next 5 years. She sued again and
won a bunch of money.

There's two sides to every story, maybe she
did something he never forgave. But he
sure went out of his way to make her life
miserable.

I started this year's thread, so I'll post up the scores later today, but it's a runaway for SOOPOO. We may as well start talking about how to pay him.
