Oscar nominations get announced tomorrow morning.

This is shaping up to be one of those years where you know all the winners way in advance.

Best Supporting Actress: Allison Janney
Best Supporting Actor: Sam Rockwell
Best Actor: Gary Oldman
Best Actress: Frances McDormand

Best Picture will likely be Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. However, there does seem to be some liberal backlash forming against that movie.

The Shape of Water will probably get a ton of technical nominations.

As always, just another day for these people to pat each other on the back.

Best Supporting Actress: Allison Janney

It's an interesting category this year as both Allison Janney and Laurie Metcalf are women around the age of 60 who, despite decades of film work, are much more celebrated as television stars.

I'm pretty happy with these nominees. Particularly with all the love Get Out received. It's kind of amazing that Jordan Peele got nominated for Directing and Writing on his first movie.

Best Original Screenplay
The Big Sick
Get Out
Lady Bird
The Shape of Water
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

I've seen all five of these movies, and this is a stacked category. ALL of them deserve to win.

Now if I see Darkest Hour, I'll break a years-long streak of not seeing any of the movies nominated for best picture.

I only saw Dunkirk and I was disappointed in the movie

Best Picture
Call Me By Your Name
Darkest Hour
Dunkirk
Get Out
Lady Bird
Phantom Thread
The Post
The Shape of Water
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

I've seen most of these.

Still need to see Call Me By Your Name and The Post (plan on seeing both by this weekend).

I don't really want to see Darkest Hour. And I definitely don't want to see Phantom Thread.

Out of the ones I've seen, Get Out is my favorite. Three Billboards is my second favorite. And Lady Bird would be my third choice.
