Do you think dark matter and black
holes are supernatural, we don't know
how they work or even what they are.
If somebody dies and his soul, for lack
of a better word, is born into another
body, why would that be supernatural
just because we don't know the process
of how it works.

I think FrG would say everything in his faith is natural too, just that some of the why and how questions can't be answered yet.

Personally, my opinion is believe whatever you want, I don't care, as long as you aren't harming anybody else but yourself.

If that's true why does he use the word
supernatural all the time. He's uses it a
lot.

I'll have to let him explain.

And that's why I started this thread.

Bob saying that we know instinctively that we have always been here and will be here forever means as much to me as FrGamble saying that we all instinctively know that we have a higher purpose.

"Instinctively?"

Wow. You're just as delusional as us Christians!

I support the possibility and indeed the physical probability that when our brain activity stops, just like every other being in the universe, our consciousness ceases to exist and we die, permanently. Our "soul" goes nowhere. It's just gone.

At some point, our species reached a point in time where we were able to conceive of an existence, a beginning, and an end. This is a very advanced concept and may be unique to our species. Nonetheless, just because we have that consciousness doesn't mean that other beings do not. Why is there not an afterlife for whales, primates, and dolphins? Why not cats and dogs? Just because we are conscious doesn't mean we have special access to the afterlife.

You have a point? That's what a native
American tracker would say to the
white man who remarks that when he
looks at the ground all he see's dirt.

If the supernatural was real, it would be the natural.
