Skills?? The speeches remind me of the Miss Universe contestants who's goal in life is to "make the world a better place". Just a bunch of hog wash.

Stop degrading hogwash. I really hate
stuff like these speeches because they
are fantasy, and accomplish nothing.
I don't ask 15 year old kids for advice
on anything, why would I listen to
them give advice on this.

More dumbing of America.

If the movers and shakers in our world actually wanted teen opinion, they would data mine the info from social media.

Instead what we have is Murdoch media, that fills a half hour segment of ad selling wrapped in feel good blather, that was once Cronkite news coupled with journalistic integrity.

I watched an episode of Joe Buck last night about when he interviewed Martina Navratilova. I liked a part where she tells Joe, " I don't know who's worse, you or Barbara Walters" referring to how BW always try's to get interviewee's to cry. He then said, we don't have to do the emotional stuff if you don't want to. It was supposed to be a sports interview about the extreme accomplishments in her life. No reason to ask people, "how did you feel when your dog died". That is similar to what I get out of Obie. People get emotionally attached to the $ narrative.

Human genius may have a limit, but human stupidity knows no bounds:

It's like telling people in quake-prone areas to learn how to fix plumbing, rather than demanding buildings that won't collapse durinf quakes.

I really don't see dumb
I'm pretty impressed by these teens
Parkland teen leaders Delaney Tarr and Cameron Kasky went on foxnews this morning
You know Chris Wallace is going to ask the tough questions
You may disagree with them but they are not dumb.

Scott Adams said it best today about
these young speakers. He said it's good
that they'll learn sooner in life rather
than later that nothing they say or do
will effect much of anything.

Wow, he's exactly right. That's what
I trying to say but in a different way..

Yes of course there are some wonderful and brilliant young people. I really enjoy them and don't need to agree with them and wish them well.

I was referring to the average shouting plague waving person at the rally, { adults 5-1] who have a cause, whether they understand it or not. They are determined.

The marchers protested everything from assault weapons that they didn't know what they were, to women being forced to not show their breasts.

I wonder if students protested yesterday at Kent State Univ, that only National guard be allowed to have weapons?

We all know the Vietnam War ended
because of all the protests.

Snicker..

"As Rand Paul said, notice how all these liberals were quick to blame the terrorist for the Austin bombings rather than the bombs! A bit of a double standard don't you think?"
