I'd always rather see video of
places I've never been than
actually go there in person.
I'm always disappointed. It's
too humid or too cold or too
dirty or smells bad or has too
many people. With video
I can see it without having
to smell, hear or feel it. I am
always so glad to come home.

Ok, AZD, here you go. I padded this with lots of boring footage around Paris so I don't like a dirty old man lusting after a girl half my age.

Nice sneaky Vegas tie-in at 0:47.

Thanks, but it wasn't my intent. I saw the Moulin Rouge show there and it was very good. Way WAY better than the awful lip-syncing topless shows in Vegas.

Not kidding, I don't travel anymore,
always a disappointment. I love
the chefs that travel to exotic places
on TV shows, it's far better than
going yourself. You can't tell me
you aren't bored or inconvenienced
half the time you're abroad.

I did not think it was, but I am a master of the dry comment like that.

FWIW I have no interest in most of those Vegas shows. Wish I had seen Sigfried and Roy. I'd like to see a Rat Pack review. But something about how big the showrooms are now just don't like it.

MI may have Detroit, but Pennsylvania
has these:

MI may have Detroit, but Pennsylvania has these:

A large percentage of the land area and about half the population of Pennsylvania lives in Northern Appalachia. Many of the counties are losing population.

These are the PA counties in Appalachia (officially)
Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Bedford, Blair, Bradford, Butler, Cambria, Cameron, Carbon, Centre, Clarion, Clearfield, Clinton, Columbia, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Fayette, Forest, Fulton, Greene, Huntingdon, Indiana, Jefferson, Juniata, Lackawanna, Lawrence, Luzerne, Lycoming, McKean, Mercer, Mifflin, Monroe, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Pike, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Somerset, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Venango, Warren, Washington, Wayne, Westmoreland, and Wyoming

Cameron, Fayette and Forest are considered the worst counties in the state.

It's a much shorter list to give the 15 counties not in Appalachia.

Eight out of ten of those communities in the video are in the Appalachian portion of Pennsylvania. The other two are in the region around the Philadelphia Airport which also contains Harrah's Philadelphia casino.

My dads family is from W Virginia,
about 20 miles from the PA border.
I was there a few years ago, it's
like a 3rd world country. The gas
pumps are relics from the 80's
as are the pickup's. The men
still wear 80's hair and the girls
cutoff jeans. It was like a place
out of a Stephen King book.
Where they work is a mystery,
I saw no factories anywhere.

Moulin Rouge had a small showroom with tables and chairs.

This is Calif. Suspended license from
5 years ago, no plates, no insurance
and arguing with the cop about
not impounding the car. It's
a dang 3rd world country, there
are so many drivers like this there.
