For this believers out there, what is your rationale for dismissing the Greek and Roman Gods?

Jesus Christ

The Greek and Roman gods and Jesus are
all equal in my book. I don't discriminate.

A classic quote from a debate between Roberts and a “believer”

"I contend we are both atheists, I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours."

Maybe I should be more specific. The Incarnation and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

So, there has already been the second coming -- Jesus was born, died, then reappeared after death -- why do religious zealots keep claiming they are waiting for the second coming - seems as if it already happened

Not only that, no 2nd coming is
predicted in the OT. It's a made
up fable to make up for all
the messiah stuff Jesus messed
up the first time. And he never
rose from the dead, that's just
another myth among many.

Agreed - was merely stating such for argument's sake

I think you at least understand the Incarnation.

Of course the Resurrection happened, how else can you explain Christianity? You guys are really fooling yourselves.

The Second Coming you might better understand as the end of time when the Lord Jesus comes in glory.

Bob, I've already shared with you how Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of the OT. Do you remember?

Parents to kids:

Of course Santa is real, how else
can you explain all the presents
under the tree.

See how neatly that works?
