I said I would post a video of where I
hike. This is the south side of my property,
it's a park, why would I leave to go to
another park. I left out 75% of the 'hike',
too boring. Amateur video, no sound,
I didn't narrate. It's only 2.5 acres, but
seems much bigger because it's all
wooded.

If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

You wanted to see the septic system.
This is all I have above ground, it's a
concrete lid off the old tanks they
replaced 2 years ago. It weighs over
100 pounds and the contractor took
one and never came back for the
other one because he'd been paid
already.

I was wondering what that thing was.

You have all 2.5 acres? Opens many possibilities. I'd be growing ginseng, Japanese Red Maples, and other crops to sell.

Always torn between more rural like this or my 0.10 acres that is small but can walk to anything.

What I hate is the "little boxes" of endless suburbia with neither.

You're far more ambitious than I
am.

Actually it is probably I am more tired of the rat race than you are. I keep seeing what suburbanites pay for nursery plants. And how little work they are to grow. Mostly plant and wait.

I dug up some maple saplings in
1970 and planted them here. 48
years later they're glorious huge
shade tree's. All it took was work
for one afternoon.

You ever tap them and make syrup? My brother did but his wife got on him for how it looked. Unreal how much sap came out on a warm spring day.
