Medical marijuana is legal in several states, but the US federal government still classifies it as illegal. The issue is always in the news.

But medical methamphetamine is hardly ever in the news! The US federal government allows doctors to prescribe methamphetamine (trademarked as Desoxyn) to obese patients seeking to lose weight and to children who can’t pay attention at school. As mentioned on Desoxyn’s official website, it’s even legal to prescribe methamphetamine to children as young as 7 years old. (Obviously, a 6 year old on meth would be child abuse.)

So let’s review: the federal government doesn’t mind 7 year old children doing methamphetamine, so long as they have a doctor’s note. But giving pot to an 89 year old with terminal cancer is still a federal crime.

It makes perfect sense, in an Orwellian Big brother kind of way mixed with government "logic." See, amphetamines were developed for medical use, so it's ok to use them medically. Pot is just a drug.

Of course, Heroin was first developed as a medical alternative to morphine, but that's just a drug and it cannot be prescribed. On the other hand, cocaine, pure and undilluted, is used in some surgical procedures as a local anesthetic. And cocaine derivatives make up some other local anesthetics, too. But cocaine is justa drug, but it's pwescribed, but it shoulnd't be, but it is, but WE'RE AT WAR WITH ESTASIA!!! WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AT WAR WITH EASTASIA!!!!!!

Don't forget about medical cocaine.
