I have a thread about my recent trip to Burning Man at WoV, but am happy to answer your questions about it here too.

For now, here are a couple of videos I made on the experience. There are more to follow.

I'm a festival person so have a lot of questions.
Been to as small as Stringfest, maybe 500, up to Bonnaroo, over 100k counting everyone

How much is a ticket
How many tickets do they sell
How long is the festival.
How is security. Ever any long lines due to security
Can you bring stuff to drink from your campsite into the festival area
Do you feel this festival is the right size or to big. Bonnaroo is to big. Did it twice. Never going back except maybe for a Led Zep reunion.
Is there access to water on site. My RV has a hot shower but it can only hold 26 gallons. I can easily refill my RV at the regular festival I attend so we take long showers.
Did you feel squeezed in , in your camping space. Could you pick a space or were you directed exactly where to camp.
Does everybody have generators. Is it peaceful and quiet in the campground at nite or is there tons of generator noise.
If there is lots of generator noise, are there camping areas banning generators. Yea, I hate generators at festivals.
Are there RV hook ups or everybody is boon docking
Are bikes allowed everywhere.
Is there food vendors on site
If so how is the food quality and how are prices. Is it cash system or ticket system
Is there a supply store on site to buy stuff you forgot. If so, how are the prices.
Is there access to ice. If so, what were the prices.
Is there music during the day and night
If I just wanted to listen to live music all day and night, can I
If so is there generally one choice or many choices for music
What is the temp at nite. How is the overall temps day and nite.
Is there anyplace to charge up phones

Thanks T for all the questions. I plan to make another video answering reader questions and will answer some of these.

Any interest in taking your RV to Burning Man in a future year, perhaps 2020? I'd be happy to chip in if I can stay in it.

I never had a any desire to go to this.
My impression is, it's a place for
druggies and old hippies to stay
high for a week, in a place that's
100 degree's in the shade, where
they can look at 'art' and pretend
they're among fellow hipsters.

Looking at your video I would have
been bored after the first hour. Be
honest, weren't you bored after
awhile?

Absolutely not! There are hundreds of things to do at Burning Man. A guidebook lists all the options by day and hour.

However, I admit it isn't for everybody. I think the only thing you would like about it is the naked women.

I got my fill pf naked humans when I
lived in Santa Barbara and went to
the nude beach with my GF all the
time. Naked humans are very drab.
Fat ones are frightening.

I stand corrected. I do believe there is nothing you would enjoy at BM. It isn't for everybody.

Hehe... I got a good chuckle out of that deadpan.

How were the food trucks, there had to
be a lot of them with all those people.
I like food trucks.
