We have Commercial Free Hulu which is a few dollars more per month than regular Hulu, but it's still a bargain at just $13/month. Combined with Netflix, out monthly bill is still just $25/month, which is fine.

If you live within 50 miles of a big city you should invest $70 or $80 for a fancy pair of rabbit ears for broadcast TV.

I just got YoutubeTV free for 7 days.
There only one channel I would
watch, AMC. That's not quite worth
$40 a month.

We have the Clearstream by Antennas Direct, and we love it. But most of the channels we watch are broadcast from towers that are less than 20 miles away, so it might not work for everyone.

Do you know if you can stream the series named Lodge 49 on the free AMC you have?

Would you pay $16 a month? Comes with AMC, BBC America, BBC World News, Sundance Film channel, Independent Film Channel and some other stuff.

Been watching it at what seems a snails pace, [once per week] now that I've had a chance to binge it's not
as enjoyable watching a series the ole fashioned way.

That's cheap, and I get the news channels
on Utube. It even has Food Network,
which I watch. Youtube does not.

The idea basically started because VIACOM (a company related to CBS) was getting cut out of a lot of streaming services because their channels competed with Disney. Viacom was going to come out with a service with just their own channels for $10, but they were afraid the market would be too limited.

Finally they settled on $16 and PHILO TV and included AMC channels, and Discovery channels like "food network". But they didn't include one of the big three American news networks like CNN, FOX, MSNBC. Anyway, you might get a more rounded view of politics by watching BBC World News.

Nickelodeon --------- VIACOM
Nick Jr --------- VIACOM
Teen Nick --------- VIACOM
Paramount --------- VIACOM
CMT --------- VIACOM
Comedy Central --------- VIACOM
MTV --------- VIACOM
MTV2 --------- VIACOM
VH1 --------- VIACOM
Science --------- DISCOVERY
TV Land --------- VIACOM
BET --------- VIACOM

These are the costs per subscriber that the cable companies pay for the top 4 channels
$7.86 ESPN
$2.02 TNT
$1.61 Disney Channel
$1.55 Fox News Channel

But I doubt that AMC gets $2 for all their channels AMC, BBC America, BBC World News, Sundance, Independent film Channel
