I made it through the whole thing (the one where she gets to know her new boss on his desk). I wanted to know how it would end, was hoping to see her get a promotion.

Careful there. No spoilers :-)

If true, you're a better man than me. I
find her beyond gross. Maybe it's
those huge balloon implants. Shudder..

Maybe it makes me a worse man. She isn't my cup of tea, but I think people like her because she is on top of her game. However, I prefer the more, supposedly, amateurish stories involving a stepsister or babysitter. Give me some kind of plot, please.

There's a story attached to these? I never
noticed.

The plot of this one is Stormy's character, dressed in a business suit, meets her new boss. Shall we say he is used to people following orders and he is testing that out on the new girl. I don't think a word is spoken after about 30 seconds.

Good luck, any plot went out with the 1970s.

Amateur for sure. I suffered thru the
pro actress porn stars for decades.
I've told the story about how I worked
in a mafia owned porn shop in Santa
Barbara. It's still there, at the same
address on lower State St, 400 block.
Now that was an education.

Some people feel, oh no, this is
exploiting women. I disagree. These
women are well paid at the pro level,
many of them make six figures a year.
If you don't like porn don't watch it,
but don't tell me I can't.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Not these days. Watch "Hot Girls Wanted." Their mentality is really screwed up.

Which was roundly panned by the industry.
It has an obvious bias. 'Maternalistic skepticism'
is it's driving force.

Which is where the fallacy I mentioned at the beginning of this piece comes in: it’s entirely her, as it is anyone else’s, prerogative to do sex work or to leave sex work. But it’s hard to be on the side of the documentary that continually treats its female subjects like they don’t know what to do, like they’re little girls who’ve wandered off the trail of goodness, like they don’t know any better and the terrible things they’ll experience here will teach them a lesson. That kind of sex negative attitude, and what’s more, “rescuer” mentality that does more harm than good to sex workers.

And the average female porn star
makes $50K a year, with the big
stars making well over six figures.

"Some of the top stars are making $300,000-400,000 per year"

MSNBC has basically been begging Beto to run all afternoon. I’ve seen two segments on him since 4pm and I haven’t even been watching much.

Weird, nervous looking, waves his arms
around like he's a nutjob. Can't wait
to hear the name Trump comes up
with for him.

I did not get that at all from the movie. I got that they are attention-whores. They think they will be the one to make it big. That they do not know the industry will chew them up and spit them out in a year. That they subject themselves to all of this in the hope of stardom.

Really, little different than all the "actresses" waiting tables in NY and LA. Thinking they have what it takes to be the next Julia Roberts.

And most are just getting a few hundred bucks a scene.

The industry is not what it was back in the day. Watch "After Porn Ends." There are still a few big productions, but it is hard to compete with all those video cameras.

If a woman wants to get into sex work, let her. I'd be in favor of some kind of legalization of prostitution following the NV brothel model, or Amsterdam. But if a woman wants to do this, she should know that her career will be a bit like that of an NFL player. The big money will last just 3-5 years for most of them. Few will make it to the top tiers. If she puts her money to work wisely, she will retire in comfort by 30. If not, she will be working in less and less desirable places until being spit out the bottom of the industry.
