All good advice, but today it's almost
not worth it to get close to a woman.
A man has too much too lose, with
#metoo worries and the number of
monetary predator women there
are around. Especially women over
35 that have been around awhile.
They're like sharks, self preservation
is on their minds at all times.

You could be right.

Maybe even about most women.

But he only needs one.
Never doubt a small group of concerned citizens can change the world; it's the only thing ever has

Getting to that one is the problem.
I would quit looking entirely and
give chance a try. Or find someone
you share a ton of interests with.
You'll at least have that in common
as you get older.

I know a couple that are rabid Civil
War reinactors, they met on a
battlefield. That common interest
holds their marriage together.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Each to their own I guess?

Most arguments are about money.

Common Law Marriages if the state recognizes them and the reqirements are met are marriages. You want to endone you have to get a divorce.
Else its desertion, bigamy, etc.

Hey, AOS.

Ty Cobb still has the best batting average in baseball, lifetime. At .366, he still struck out nearly 2 out of every 3.

Point of order - Ty Cobb was a great contact hitter and was nowhere CLOSE to striking out 2/3rds of the time. In fact, he struck out in only about 4% of his plate appearances (source, look for the column labeled "K%").

Of course I know what you meant, but being pedantic on the internet is one of my hobbies.

Yeah, they love being wrong and corrected
by a man. They can't get enough of it. I
corrected my wife the other day, and am
still regretting it. She said she won't use
public restrooms because she doesn't
want an STD from a toilet seat,

When I pointed out the viruses that carry
these diseases cannot live outside the body,
so they certainly can't live on a toilet seat,
she knew I was right and paid me back by
ignoring me and talking on the phone
to her sister. Fine, I had nothing to say
anyway.
