Which president had the longest post presidency ? Guess before you google. If you can guess #2 put answer in spoiler.

James K. Polk lived only 103 days past the end of his presidency on Mar 4, 1849. Post WWII Lyndon B. Johnson presidency end on Jan 20, 1969 and he lived an additional 4 years, 2 days.

Eight presidents have died in office and had no post presidency.

The most improbable bit of presidential trivia is that three of the five founding fathers: Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, James Monroe all died on 4 July. I suspect "fake news".

usually you prove it, but maybe you're saying you looked it up

I want to say Calvin Coolidge even though he died in his 50s. On the other hand, just looking at the age at death isn't given me any inspiration, so I'll stick with Calvin C.

Can't really prove it. Lets just say I heard it in passing sometime the last year or so I don't even remember where.

You get peppered with this POTUS trivia from time to time on the news.

George Washington died less than 3 years after leaving office which has led some to speculate that he didn't really feel honor bound to leave the presidency after two terms, but instead he just was sick.

The 2nd and 3rd president both died on 4th of July 1826. But John Adams finished his only term 8 years before Thomas Jefferson finished his second term, so John Adams actually set the record for "length of post presidency" which held for over a century.
