The recently delivered Mexican Presidential jet, (the most expensive one in the world), a modified B787 is now being sold by the newly inaugurated Mexican President, AMLO.

It would make a perfect jet for the Secretary of State who travels more than either the POTUS or the VP. The C-32 used by SECSTATE is about 20 years old.

The Boeing C-32 is a military passenger transportation version of the Boeing 757-200 as designated by the United States Air Force. The C-32 provides transportation for United States leaders to locations around the world. The primary users are the Vice President of the United States (using the distinctive call sign "Air Force Two"), the First Lady, and the Secretary of State. On rare occasions, other members of the U.S. Cabinet and Congressional leaders have been authorized to fly aboard the C-32 for various missions. The C-32, since its debut, has also served as Air Force One in place of the larger VC-25A to airports that cannot support that Boeing 747-based jumbo jet. The C-32 is a Boeing 757 a mid-size, narrow-body twin-engine jet airliner that has been modified for government use, mainly a change to a 45-passenger interior and military avionics.A contract was awarded in August 1996 for four aircraft supplemented by the smaller C-37A to replace the aging fleet of VC-137 aircraft. The first aircraft was delivered to the 89th Airlift Wing at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland in late June 1998.

16. Nov. 1987 was the date the former Presidential aircraft of Mexico , a B752 was ordered
8. Aug. 1996 was the date the four C-32 were ordered by the US Air force

Didn't Trump used to have his own private plane of about that size? He probably would be tempted to buy it, although it might seem to cause some conflicts of interest.

If the U.S. government bought it for a leader that regularly gets Secret Service protection, the plane would have to be stripped down and rebuilt for security purposes. I think that would make it cost prohibitive.

Maybe the CEO of General Motors, Mary Barra, should buy it. She already gave a big chunk of her company's production to Mexico, so they owe her.

Donald Trump's jet is very similar to the old Mexican Presidential Plane, but the Mexican plane is about 3.5 years older.
Line #151 Aircraft Type Boeing 757-225 First Flight 2 Nov 1987 Age 31.1 Years Fuerza Aérea Mexicana
Line #371 Aircraft Type Boeing 757-2J4 First Flight 21 May 1991 Age 27.6 Years Donald Trump Enterprises

The current one is a b787, which is a big large for a private jet. There are very few VIP models ordered of the Dreamliners, and zero of the largest -10 variant.

Doesn't he still have Trump-01?

I forget what he had, but found it amusing that he may be the only POTUS ever to end up with lesser amenities when he went to AF-1.

I thought he sold it in the late 80's, but I could easily be wrong. They never showed it on The Apprentice, but showed his helicopter a lot. Trump was never shy about his wealth on that show so I think they would have shown the plane if he still had it.

I am thinking the one he had during the campaign. I never saw more than a few minutes of the show. Tuned in once and it was a bunch of kids blaming each other for their failures. At the time if I wanted to see that I just went into work.

The Boeing 727 was registered in Bermuda as VP-BDJ and was built in 1968. It was originally delivered to American Airlines. By 1981, it was converted into a business jet for Diamond Shamrock. It later operated for Trump Shuttle, before being sold. Donald Trump repurchased it in 1997 as his private jet. Trump put it up for sale in 2009, but was still using it in 2011, when he received the 757. It was sold later in 2011, and then operated by Weststar Aviation.
When operating as Donald Trump's private jet, the plane was configured with seating for 24, winglets, a master bedroom, bidet, dining room, galley, conference rooms, multiple lavatories.

A lot of people don't realize it, but the original B737 had the same two engines as the B727 had on the side ( without the center engine). It never sold very well, until they designed a custom engine for the B737.
