I'm really enjoying it. I love how they treat the Xtion myth like it should be treated, as a myth. The show is campy, sarcastic, fun. Lucifer is a smart ass'd narcissistic charming know it all. I like how he tells everybody exactly who he is all the time and nobody pays him any attention. It's a Jerry Bruckheimer show, think Pirates of the Carib, Beverly Hills Cop, Top Gun, CSI, Amazing Race, Black Hawk Down, Con Air, Flash Dance, National Treasure. Too many more to list. He's so good at picking hit movies and shows that he's in the top 10 richest in Hwood, he's worth at least 1 billion. At one point he's at a wedding and when the priest crosses himself, Lucifer says to him "Good luck with that". I guffawed out loud. It's good that we've gotten to the point that we can treat Xtionity like all the other god myths, and make movies and TV shows about them as myths. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

The character has been portrayed in comic books for almost three decades. The comic book writer, Neil Garman (age 58), does a guest appearance in the final season #3 episode as God. Tom Ellis was in a popular BBC supernatural miniseries called "The Fades" before he was cast in Lucifer |

The few million viewers Lucifer had on Fox weren't enough to keep it on Primetime, but are more than enough to satisfy Nflix. Plus all the people who will join just to keep watching the show. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Evenbob Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 146 Posts: 25010 | I like what they're doing with the Xtion devil in this show. "It is Jesus who most often refers to Satan in the New Testament. He identified Satan as the “ruler of this world” (Jn 12:31), a murderer, a liar, and the father of lies (Jn 8:44). He also preached that a central aspect of the salvation He offered involved the destruction of Satan’s power in the world." On the show, Lucifer tells us all the time that he's not evil, he's not a liar, in fact he cannot lie. He's not evil, he's the punisher of evil, he's doing what god assigned him to do. People are the evil ones, the devil is a good guy just doing his job. Most Xtions don't believe Satan is real anyway, so what's the harm. "59% of Americans reject the existence of Satan, with many respondents saying they believe the devil is merely a symbol of evil. The study stated: “Catholics are much more likely than Protestants to hold this view — 75% compared to 55% — although a majority of both groups concur that Satan is symbolic.” If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I liked how the devil was portrayed in Keanu Reeves movie "Constantine" better. Have you noticed that an underlying theme in media now is depicting women empowerment? You have to give a show like this awhile to develop the characters. I hated the first 3 eps of NCIS and quit. Thought better of it and watched season 2 and loved it for 12 seasons. Women empowerment? No more than usual. But I don't watch live TV, I have no idea what's on in 2018. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

EB’s attempts to start another new pissing contest with FrG are getting a little desperate and tacky. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

Nope, have him permanently blocked, no more talks. I got fed up with his tactics. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I agree and knowing that he has given up already has given me strength to not get sucked in. “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |

It is starting to remind me of Fallwell and Flynt. Flynt was an outspoken atheist yet according to Jerry Falwell the spoke almost every day. Flynt knew he needed guidance and Falwell gave it. Knew Flynt would not change but kept doing his best for the guy. The President is a fink. |
