OnceDear Member since: Nov 21, 2017 Threads: 11 Posts: 1509 | What was it... 56 games or so from about November to March? Anyone up for a re-match? Hint. I am. I bet KarenNathan would enjoy it. I'd be happy to take her under my wing and show her how to whup our asses. That could be fun and friendly. ( we play for a few dollars a game Karen. I'd sponsor you for a few games till you get the hang of it. ) |

OnceDear Member since: Nov 21, 2017 Threads: 11 Posts: 1509 | You first need to familiarise yourself with the basic board game https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/how-to-play-clue-cluedo-411240 Ignore the bits about rolling the dice as we have a variant of the rules that does away with that. Basically, there are 8 rooms, 6 characters and 6 murder weapons. Each of those appears on a card and all but 3 of the cards are dealt out to the players. One 'Murderer' card, One Weapon card and one Scene of Crime room card are hidden from us all. Players might get a mix of suspect, wepon and room. some will maybe have two suspect but no room etc etc. As we take turns, we make a deduction of who, with what, and where. Working around the table someone reveals a card that discounts that possibility. He/she only reveals his/her one card to the person whose turn it was. By watching who does or does not eliminate the suggestion, we all work towards deducing the hidden cards. When someone is VERY confident that they know the who, where and with what, they make a once only accusation. If right, they win, if wrong, they are out of the game. The trick is to milk every possible bit of deduction out of what gets or does not get revealed. More info tomorrow... Go do your basic homework. OD |

I had TWO Clue Games on my phone, (One game faded into obscurity as the makers stopped making it, ) and one game I willingly deleted from my phone to clear up storage space, (And was more of a Bingo game than Clue, so I have some kind of knowledge of the weapons, ;)Weapons. Gun, rope, candlestick, razor, IIRC. :) |
