DJTeddyBear Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 5 Posts: 265 | While the catty corner states meet at that point, they do not share a border. A border implies a line to cross. Since it is impossible to cross from one of the states to the opposite catty corner state without traveling into one or both of the other two states, there is no shared border. Ignorance is bliss and knowledge is power. But having only some facts can get you into trouble! |

Maybe if you're counting air rights, but for an actual step from one to its catty corner cousin, I could do it without touching the other two. Never doubt a small group of concerned citizens can change the world; it's the only thing ever has |

But you could draw a line from one state to the kitty corner state without going through another state given the axiom a line has no width. "but if you make yourselves sheep, the wolves will eat you." Benjamin Franklin |

caddy-corner. This expression, meaning “diagonally opposite,” was formed from a misspelling in English of the French word quatre (“four”) prefixed to “corner.” Although the word has nothing to do with cats or kittens, in various dialects all three spellings are acceptable: “catty,” “cater” or “kitty.” If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
