The whole series is definitely worth
it, it's great. Just not twice.

I am currently rewatching it. At 20 years since it came on it is amazing to see how old some of the stuff in it looks already.

Watching the clip made me realize I
didn't like the majority of characters,
they just weren't likable people.

In the "you can't make this S**T up" department

Owner just called all the employees into his office (sans the protege) and informed us he is having a forensic psychologist come in and we are going to stage an "intervention" with the protege to inform him he cannot conduct business per his usual

I really need to videotape this lol

This is why this thread has become must see viewing. Can’t wait to hear the outcome of this latest development!

The characters are in the mafia. Bad people. You are not supposed to like them.

You have lots of witnesses to call,
and your boss knows it. All the
people who work in that office.
You'd get a good settlement
out of it.

No, it was based on hostility, and it shouldn't be a job requirement to endure being harassed by a protected person. Especially if the protege is an offspring of the owner/boss.

We do our work, they pay us, that's the deal. You can be fired for not doing your work, or even because the boss doesn't like you, or a hundred other reasons, but it isn't fair that an employee has to allow himself to be belittled to get his/her pay. That's the description of a hostile work environment.

But they were portrayed sympathetically,
that's why it was on 7 seasons. Some of
the characters I couldn't stand, like
what's his name in the clip you posted.
And he's in it all the time.

MadMen, only seen that once. Deadwood,
many times. Californication entire run
4 times. Downton Abby, I'm watching it
now for 13th time.

They are portrayed as showing they had their own problems and demons to face, but it was also shown they sere selfish, greedy, and dangerous people. Mad Men I loved. Californication I got about three episodes in and all I could handle. Deadwood didn't realize until recently the dead brother's wife was Walter White's wife.
