So you would have to sell your condo, move to NJ in a rental, on a flimsy deal that will collapse before it barely begins? Why would you even think about it. Get out, your boss sounds like he's on his last legs anyway and then you're really screwed. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I don't know your story..... If I did I forgot! I guess if I were you I'd try and find something acceptable on Long Island. Look east..... that way you would be going opposite of rush hour and commute would be mitigated. If you have a good reputation I can't imagine it will be that difficult to find an acceptable job, perhaps not a dream job, but not a nightmare job like you have now. |

Why does it matter, it was years ago. I certainly wouldn't sell my condo for a job, find a job that suits your present location. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Not much east of me for law firms other than mom and pop shops I am talking with the Owner Monday and if I can get the 7% raise and ability to work from home one day per week I will be very happy |

I vowed many years ago to never have a commute to work over 15 minutes each way. I would definitely buy closer to my office. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |

I believe I posted previously that the Owner, as part of his pitch to have me stay, assured me I would not have to work with either protege or co-counsel - and, neither of them even looked in my direction this week |
