I only got 5/10 correct with the sample question below (I thought was the easiest question). How old is the Earth? A. 4.5 billion years B. 1.2 trillion years C. 624 million years D. 8.4 billion years |

I got it right by eliminating what I knew was wrong and guessing. "Largest organism" I would not call a plant an organism, maybe they are? And to call an animal "extinct due to man made climate change" sorry but that is pushing a political agenda. The President is a fink. |

I thought that 2 out of the 4 answers were easily eliminated. But I guessed wrong I think these three questions are fairly well known. Where is the largest active volcano on the planet? How old is the Earth? How many people live on Earth? You can figure these questions fairly logically Which US national park was the most popular in 2018? Which country hosts most of the world's biological diversity? The remaining are very specific knowledge or political knowledge What was the first mammal known to have gone extinct due to "human-induced" climate change? Who founded Earth Day? What is the largest organism on Earth? |

odiousgambit Member since: Oct 28, 2012 Threads: 154 Posts: 5098 | I stopped taking the quiz because I was irritated by each question. Q1: having you locate the most active volcano by way of "which country" is stupid, bugging me even though I got it right. Q2: I am trying very hard to forget who founded Earth Day. I think I will succeed and not be able to tell you tomorrow, yay! Q3: what in hell does the answer have to do with environmental knowledge? I would want to take the quiz , do well or not, and say "I did well because I am interested in the environment, or "gee, did poorly , I should know these better" did not go to Q4 my feeling that Earth Day is all wrong-minded crap has been confirmed I'm Still Standing, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah [it's an old guy chant for me] |

Oh brother, where did you go to school. We know almost exactly how old it is, give or take a few million years. https://cosmosmagazine.com/geoscience/how-do-we-know-how-old-the-earth-is If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
