In general I top out at $10/6 pack. You can get decent beer for that.

Under the heading of "craft beer" I see only a handful of beers for that price. This one is $9.65 for a six pack of 12 ounce beers and was one of he cheapest.

My neighbor comped us an air conditioner repair and he asked for FUNK CITRUS. It was priced at 4/16 OZ CAN for $13.35 or $69.99 for 24/16 OZ CANS. To show you how "out of it" I am I thought it looked like an energy drink.

Wow, 6 times a day is almost unbelievable

He said it was 8 times a day on
weekends.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Craft, Premium, artisanal, etc
There is still a quality difference even though it may be more on the label than in the actual taste or quality.

In my local supermarket, most 6 packs are $9.99 or $10.99. Some are more, and some single bottles are as much as $20, or more. I’m not a big fan of the more expensive stuff, it’s usually either too weird or too strong.

Mix and match sixers are $9.99.

I get where you’re coming from, though. It’s beer. It’s supposed to be plebeian. Making it special destroys its purpose.

OTOH, if it tastes good, drink it.

I like imported beer, and I have always believed that $30 to $35 per case was a reasonable price to pay for a case of good beer. What surprised me was to see a local craft beer called FUNK CITRUS which sells for $70 a case, and up to $195 a case of 12 ounce beers for particular hoppy beer.

HEINEKEN 24/16 OZ CAN $34.79
HEINEKEN 24/12 OZ CAN $30.99
PACIFICO 24/12 OZ BTL $33.79
SAPPORO 24/12 OZ BTL $36.29
SOL 24/12 OZ BTL $29.99

If you think of a case as 24 * 12 oz = 288 ounces then

Jim Beam Maple Whiskey 70 Proof 750 ML $8.99 would be $102 for 288 ounces.

When beer is more expensive than whisky, the world has changed.

My favorite beer is Pipeline Porter by Kona Brewing. They only make it a couple months of the year.

Pipeline Porter is smooth and dark with a distinctive roasty aroma and earthy complexity from its diverse blends of premium malted barley. This celebration of malt unites with freshly roasted 100% Kona coffee. $9 for a six-pack of 12 ounce beers or $36 per case.

GUINNESS DRAUGHT 24/11.2 OZ BTL $32.99

The price point that I am used to is $30-$40 for a case of good quality beer. It's taking me a while to get used to the $70-$195 prices.

$9 passes for a good price for a six pack of microbrew these days, indeed you can pay more

at the same time I'm pretty sure you still see 12 packs of milwaukee's best etc maybe pretty close to that $9 [$10.99 maybe] . So it also depends on if you want swill or real beer

Icehouse is the cheapest at $9.99 for 24 12 ounce cans
Milwaukee's Best is $15.79 for 30 12 ounce cans.

THE ALE APOTHECARY SAHALIE is $41.55 for a bottle (25.36 ounces or 750ml) is the most expensive beer in the shop. That is pretty expensive for wine.
