When I lived it Calif, the Gay
men I knew, being Gay and getting
laid was their whole existence.
It's just about all they talked about
with each other.

Uhhh, have you ever met a straight guy in his 20s? Being straight and getting laid is their whole existence.

Unless of course they are undesirable “celibate by choice.”

They don't scream I'm GAY, but
the let you know they are very
quickly. If you haven't noticed
this, you aren't paying attention.

Seen it happen. Usually in the form of a guy saying "my boyfriend..........."

I feel like this post betrays you. "Feel free to live your life based on a fairy tale". That is insulting. What would you say when people try to force Christians to believe that Holy Matrimony can be between two people of the same sex or that transgenderism is perfectly normal. I'm okay with discussion and not forcing anyone to live the exact same way. However, it seems like a one way street. I'm not the one forcing others to believe and live the exact same way I do but I sure do feel a lot of pressure to think and act like the left desires me to.

Exactly. Gays complain about intolerance, yet they see no problem in FORCING you to accept their definition of marriage. If that's not intolerance, I don't know what is!

Yep and it's usually an old guy talking about someone 30 years younger than him. So creepy!

I don't know that I've met, a couple of SO's, that didn't think that their particular relationship was unique in the world?

None of our friends marriages are largely similar to ours.

If you are married {?}, do you have a cookie cutter relationship? If your special bond isn't unique and different than most others, why marry at all? Fifty percent of marriages will soon be in divorce anyway?

Not even close to the same. The
Gay guys were always on the make
everywhere they were, and blatant
about it. There was a lot of humor
involved, a lot of wit, but it really
was all they were interested in.
Getting laid by a young stranger.

This was pre AIDS, things might
have toned down. Then, nobody
was worried about anything. I've
read stories about Rock Hudson
and what a horndog he was,
always going after your young
guys.

Naw there's always been a definite gap between how guys and girls react to sex. Girls were always encouraged to hold out. Which worked to a certain extent.

Had nothing to do with lack of desire in straight young men. Zero, nothing. You lived in an alien world if it did.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

One thing, teen age, coming of age movies got right was guys on the make. Regardless of how polite they were, they were on the make. That or they were gay, or headed to the priesthood or simply one of the rare ones interested in nothing sexual.

The best way to describe it is,
as a group they were obsessed
with sex. You might see that here
and there with a guy, but you
never see it in a group of straight
men. It was a lot of fun joking
with them about it, there was
always a lot of laughing and
pretty good jokes. But just below
that was an air of creepiness
that was undeniable.

Were you running a gay bar back in the day, Evenbob? Not sure what the situation is today, but gay bars usually were specifically located and not very mixed with straight people at the time.
