SyFy Defiance TV show

| Pacomartin Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 1068 Posts: 12569 | The pilot for Defiance was released on Monday. The new TV Show and the soon to be released MMO game . There is some skepticism about the game. As befitting most MMO games it is a post apocalyptic world inhabited by humans and a collection of 7 alien races. Defiance is the city built on St Louis. The heroes are a human ex-GI father and his adopted alien daughter who make a living scavenging and fighting. It is a little like the other SyFy series Warehouse 13, in that the story lines all seem very familiar, but the characters are very appealing. In Defiance scenes are clearly arranged to appeal to the video game to be released. It's a family show, but it isn't so cloying saccharine like "Terra Nova" that it is unwatchable. On the other hand it isn't edgy like American Horror Story or Walking Dead. I also found "Falling Skies" to be tedious at times, and so far the pacing on Defiance has been good. In short I recommend it as entertaining diversion. |
