I guess I didn’t make my point well. It’s not that I expected the female nurse and I to hook up, or the financial guy either. It’s just that WHATEVER the single female alleges happened I am presumptively guilty of. Now that I remember, I didn’t drive babysitters home either. I used the wrong word to hen I said ‘discipline’. Any formal discipline would not have been just 1 to 1. What I meant was ‘constructive criticism’. Even that lower level of interaction I felt one on one with a female subordinate was a risk I didn’t want to take.

I think what others accuse me of doing is sexist. I think it is called common sense.
