But pick the bottom of the list or the top. https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/most-educated-countries You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |

Education is only important if it is the right kind and people use it. We can send people to college for degrees in Women's Studies but that does nothing for anybody except their professors. Having a degree is nothing in and of itself. No reason to be enamored by a piece of paper. The President is a fink. |

That's the republican neurosurgeon. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |

We were talking about education what has that got to do with knowledge? "but if you make yourselves sheep, the wolves will eat you." Benjamin Franklin |

If knowledge wasn't part of your education, that explains a lot. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |

I am so old that they still taught, disciplined and failed students when I went to school. Now everybody gets a gold star no matter how badly they perform. "but if you make yourselves sheep, the wolves will eat you." Benjamin Franklin |

There were at least half a dozen guys in my senior class in high school who did not graduate because they did not have enough points from too many failed classes. I believe now if you just show up in class a few times a week you graduate from most public high schools. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

odiousgambit Member since: Oct 28, 2012 Threads: 154 Posts: 5098 | just read an interesting article [behind a paywall] saying that people wringing their hands about the over-population of the world need to take a moment and just declare victory. The upcoming problem is going to be the opposite. Largely unmentioned was that this is uneven. There are books written about how bad it's going to get in Africa. check out the map from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Population_growth#Population_growth_rate ... AZD has been talking about falling fertility rate for years, but Elon Musk expressed his concern in a tweet and the world suddenly takes note! Musk, who has previously voiced concern about global population collapse, was responding to government data showing that Japan’s population fell by a record 644,000 last year – the 11th consecutive year of decline. Japan’s population peaked in 2008 and had fallen to about 125 million by last year, despite government warnings about the effect on economic growth and occasional campaigns to encourage couples to have bigger families. |
