I do. But I am certainly not sure about it. As i mentioned earlier, I learned about coronaviruses in Med School in the 1980's. They have been identified for decades at least. This seems like others, just more contagious and more virulent. I don't see the motive of the government of China doing this. If it was to be bioterrorism, I think they would have loaded a few people with it and sent them to 30 baseball stadiums in the USA, and just had them cough and sneeze a lot. They wouldn't have let it loose on their own population first.
Of course no one is to be trusted 100%, but our experts have said it does not have the hallmarks of being 'manufactured', however they can determine that. Since politically, our government would LOVE to be able to blame the Chinese Government, I'm betting "NO" on it not being natural.
I wasn't inquiring as to it being released intentionally.

There are so many story's out, about research in Ft. Detrick and Wuhan where people research the most dangerous infectious diseases imaginable. But I guess someone has to do it? It's strange to me, that we have dug up victims from the Spanish flu just to acquire the virus so we can research it in labs. And in the same labs they have samples of Ebola and Sars and every bio nasty ever found.

I don't believe that even though we have treaty's that forbid research into chemical weapons, or bio weapons, that any of the big 4 governments actually stopped at least in secret, researching the next more dangerous lethal chemical weapon. Why would we, we admit to making faster deadlier nuclear weapons, which might actually be a more humane way to die? If some foreign government launched a bio weapon at us, I would be pissed if we didn't have a bigger badder more lethal weapon.

But saying that, for these kinds of labs, all the major country's should agree to let the others inspect each others facility's. I mean, no one really wants this stuff getting out of the lab. Which is what makes the most sense to me. I think some floor sweeper in Wuhan saw a couple extra bats laying in the refrigerator labelled "to be destroyed", and just couldn't resist making a few yen off of it. Snuck the bats out to the open air market and sold them? Probably wasn't the first time he had sold used animals. Either that or this is the revenge of the Pangolins. I'd be ok with that to. I don't like the idea of every exotic animal on the planet being harvested to correct erectile dysfunction in Asia. For god's sake man, send them some Viagra. Leave the Pangolins alone.

The Chinese aren't evil mad scientists seeking to let loose bio armageddon on the planet. They may want to rule the world, but they want to travel and visit the 8 wonders as much as the next tribe.

In a way, I don't much care, except whatever the hell happened they need to do something about that crap and not let it happen again.

I sure hope they have decided to do something about it. Bunch of horse manure that this got that much out of control in the first place.

What can we do to prevent the next one
Its coming, just don't know when
Some actually planned early for this
Wimbledon actually purchased insurance regarding a pandemic
These are tennis people and they knew there was a good chance of this happening. A lot smarter then Trump "it will just go away"

For me, the quarantine couldn't have happened at a better time. Is it over yet? Is the government going to send me more money? Who wouldn't want to live here, everything is free and lots of pretty girls. Cops aren't even busting people for traffic violations.

The quarantine has all but become a distant memory it seems here in river city. LA is open, Az. casinos open, but the virus didn't disappear. It seems to me, that people had better start getting infected and plugging the ER's in hospitals, or the quarantine should never have happened?

If people don't start dropping like fly's, don't you think there is a risk of lost confidence in the nations/world's leaders? If infections and hospitalizations and deaths don't ratchet up in 3-6 weeks, the world just experienced the biggest "cry wolf" imaginable. What will happen if a plague does crawl out of a cave somewhere and a lockdown is needed many times than this iteration of Corona?

Next time,,,?

Well well well............
Looks like the Wicked Whit of the (Mid)west is a typical libbie who flouts her own rules.

Embattled Michigan governor in hot water over hubby’s boat request

This witch makes draconian rules for the peasants but of course those same rules don't apply to her and her husband. 🙄

This is no different than DEMocRATS who raise taxes on everyone else but then does everything possible to avoid paying their own taxes!

I think the key thing in your post, Paco is "Sweden’s numbers have remained flat".

The first case of COVID-19 in Netherlands was reported 88 days ago on 2/26/2020. Since then, the country has reported 45,647 cases, and 5,849 deaths.
The first case of COVID-19 in Sweden was reported 115 days ago on 1/30/2020. Since then, the country has reported 33,843 cases, and 4,029 deaths.

The Netherlands had a much worse peak than Sweden with the 5-day moving average of new cases remaining above 1000 for three full weeks. Sweden did not get even close to that rate only briefly hitting a 5 day moving average of new cases around 700.

But the Netherlands had a dramatic drop in new cases in the last month, and the total death rate has dropped well below that of Sweden's. Since the Netherlands has 70% more people than Sweden, the only realistic rates are as a percentage of total population.

Sweden 409 deaths per million population
Netherlands 342 deaths per million population

For the month of May, Sweden has the highest percentage of new cases relative to it's population in Europe

Yes if continue to isolate we force the numbers down. The real question is if at the end of the day have we reduced the total number of deaths after 6 months or a year. That question is unanswered at the present time. What we do know is that keeping everything lockdown is a tremendous cost to our societies both financially and socially. History will tell us which is the best path.

Forget History.
If present trends continue Sweden will end up with the highest death rate in Europe by the end of the summer. Right now it is in 6th position.

Deaths per million population
806 Belgium (has looser criteria as to when to report a COVID death)
580 Spain
546 UK
545 Italy
437 France
409 Sweden -----------
342 Netherlands
327 Ireland
303 USA
...
101 Germany
97 Denmark
56 Finland
43 Norway

Sweden is considerably higher than the countries around it who quarantined.

Here in the US, suicide rates are skyrocketing. "Dr. Mike deBoisblanc of John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, California says is happening in his area…

“We’ve never seen numbers like this, in such a short period of time,” he said. “I mean we’ve seen a year’s worth of suicide attempts in the last four weeks.”

I can't imagine how many cases of child abuse have gone unnoticed and spousal abuses?

And this is just the beginning of the increase in suicides. Wait until UI runs out.

Someone posted it recently.

Detroit nursing home patient, 20, is charged with assault after filming himself beating elderly residents.

That video would have remained unseen had Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch, not contacted authorities after receiving the post on his Twitter feed.

Twenty year old Hayden was in a mental health facility and moved to the nursing home, for recovery after testing positive for corona virus.

Although positive for the virus, he was placed in a room with his seriously ill 75 year old victim.

Makes perfect sense while you’re trying to ‘flatten the curve’, for governors in NY, NJ, MI and CA, to send spreads to nursing homes filled with the most vulnerable people on the planet.

In New York, more than 5,300 people living in nursing homes have died from the virus so far. More than 2,000 in New Jersey. Cuomo is not happy. He says NY is shortchanged, getting only $12,000 per covid case. The nursing homes were forced to receive the patients from hospitals. They were not allowed to test or question whether or not the transfers were positive for the virus.
