I've had CNN on since I got home about 45 minutes, and Jake Tapper is way too triggered about people not caring. Geez man, repeating yourself isn't likely to do anything.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

Here is my prediction:

2,000 to 3,000 American casualties. That's about as many Americans who die of all causes in 10 to 12 hours.

I'm all in favor of social distancing, washing hands, and taking extreme measure to slow down the spread, but we will get past this in 3 to 4 months.

I purchased $60,000 in stock Thursday and Friday, which shows I'm putting my money where my mouth is. As a country, we've been through much worse.

I think you are out by a factor of at least 100 Mike and possibly 1000 if they don't get a cure or vaccine right away. Even with those numbers I think the current cure of shutting down the world is worse than the virus. Remember the current measures aren't meant to keep the virus from spreading to possibly 1/2 the population only to have it spread more slowly.

Well my trip to Vancouver had what I expect was a once in lifetime experience. We checked into the River Rock resort on Saturday night and hit the casino. The next day about 3 PM they announced that the company was shutting down all their casinos that night. They also shut down the hotel in the morning and we had to relocate and couldn't even get a cup coffee anywhere in the resort in the morning. We relocated to another hotel casino and checked in. I was waiting for the craps table to open at noon, they started counting chips and other prep and then stopped. Went and asked the crew what was up they said the provincial government had just mandated all casinos in BC had to shut down by midnight. They didn't even open the craps table. Shut down all the bars and restaurants and couldn't get any food or drinks for the rest of the afternoon/night. Started shutting tables down about 9 because they had to deal with the chips, they don't want to leave them on the tables for the several months the shutdown is liable to last.

We shall see. My prediction assumed no cure or vaccine.

I hope you are right Mike. Here in Canada our National Health Director is still saying 30% to 70% will still be infected eventually.

WHO estimates the mortality rate is 3.4% based on confirmed cases. Hopefully it will be much lower than that once more testing is done.

The mortality rate for those 60-69 yrs old is 4.6% and for 9.8% for those 70-79 yrs. old.

200 nurses in CT and NY had to be furloughed after Corona expposure, due to lack of available tests.

Florida and Arizona with their retiree populations could end up being hit hard.
