Colin Powell dies of covid complications at 84. Yup, fully vaccinated.

He also had blood cancer.

Surely his weakened immune system had nothing to do with it.

But now he will be the patron saint of 2nd class citizen anti-vaxxers.

He was 1 year in age from maximum risk by age.

So if he was sick and 1 year away from the maximum risk age why the hell did he get vaccinated. Obviously he thought it was going to protect him. He obviously believed he was not going to get covid-19 if he got vaccinated. Obviously. Oops..

What was once a sardonic joke has now become 100 percent true. It was joked that very soon we'd have to show fully vaccinated passports in order to go see a show. It has now come mostly true. A famous performing arts center near me now requires fully vaccinated passports or negative covid tests to see a show. It won't be long before even negative covid tests are no longer allowed and you have to have fully vaccinated passports to see a show.

I don't know if anyone has brought this up, but I feel that negative covid tests should be shown before getting the covid vacccines. There have been reported cases of people who actively had covid getting the vaccines, hence testing positive soon after receiving their vaccines.

Stop serving opposite burgers. His age and condition is EXACTLY the reason to have gotten a vaccine.

Based on your opposite reasoning young people need the vaccine the healthier they are. Though it's good for them to get it anyway.

Correct, but this will still be categorized as a Covid Death instead of a Multiple Myeloma Death.
Anyone dying with Covid over the age of 80, should be categorized as "died from old age"
But that doesn't help the narrative that we should all be scared of Covid.
It is laughable that Ed thinks he is at risk of dying from Covid post vaccination.
He has a better chance of killing himself driving the RV rig than he does dying of Covid.
But he like many others are really bad at assessing their risk of Covid death or long term impact.

My wife's 93 year old mother survived covid in the nursing home last spring. Even for people her age survival rate is in the 90 percentile range.
