I just heard that smoking dope on
a regular basis at any age is just
like cigs, it gives your lungs a pre
existing condition that will make
the virus harder to get rid of.

They should not be bailed out
Cruise ships don't pay jack in taxes. They technically visit the USA
They don't fly the stars and stripes, they fly the flag what ever country gives them the best tax deal
Let those countries bail out the cruise lines

I agree. If any of the cruise lines are registered in the US they should participate in the bailout. Having been on a bunch of cruises in the past few years, I'd bet less than 5% of the workers are American citizens.

Buffalo now has (at least) two cases in my hospitals ICU. The storm is coming.

Even if you were solicited in Buffalo, NY, the fine print made Miami, FL the only court you could sue the company in.

I might pay to go on a cruise, where everyone gets pretested multiple times and then we stay out for a couple months letting no one new onboard.

Being on a cruise for months with no ports (because the virus could be there) would be bad.

LOLOLOL

The Trump Campaign has sent a cease and desist letter to TV stations airing this ad.

I love this cease & desist letter! It's a masterpiece.

They're disputing the context of Trump's use of the word "hoax" in South Carolina on Feb 28. That's the hill they want to die on? Even if the critics took the word "hoax" out of context, (they didn't) the full quote from Feb 28 ends with Trump bragging about only having 15 cases of coronavirus, which is just as damning. Less than 1 month later... and we have 950 deaths.

Your Streisand effect analogy is very apt. I don't watch much live TV, so I wouldn't have seen it were it not for the cease & desist letter.

Wouldn't be surprised if most of our Navy has canceled all shore leave for months for ships required to patrol.

I figure I can last a trip like the old sailing ships used to make. As long as I don't get scurvy.

In 2009, the Swine Flu, infected 61 million Americans, hospitalized 274,000 and killed 13,000. It infected 1.4 billion people worldwide and killed between 152,000-575,000.

It primarily affected children and young adults. 80% of the deaths were in people younger than 65.

There is still no vaccine for it.

This is Schumer in 2009, bragging about cutting the funding to fight it:
