Netflix standard subscription is now, $12.99 per month which allows 2 simultaneous streams. Netlifx premier is $15.99 and allows up to 4 simultaneous streams. (2) HBO has 140 million subscribers worldwide as of 2018. It launched the streaming service HBO Now in April 2015 and has over 5 million subscribers in the United States as of February 2018.HBO Now is being upgraded to HBO Max on 27 May. Same price but more content than just HBO. Partly they will draw from eight other AT&T channels like TBS, TNT, TruTV, Turner Classic Movies, CNN, HLN, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and it will also include some original content HBO Max is $14.99 per month and allows up to 3 simultaneous streams. HBO Max seems to be a more adult version of Netflix. (3) A standard annual Amazon Prime membership costs $12.99 per month or $119 per year. Amazon Prime Video allows users to stream up to three titles simultaneously from the same account. Prime offers faster delivery of products, and a much smaller viewing choice, but fairly high quality. (4)Hulu's ad-free plan and lets you watch the streaming library without interruptions for $11.99/month |

I have read that is an open question right now. If you have the cable package you have access to HBO GO, which is an online version of the HBO but HBO MAX is going to include more stuff. I think the cable companies take a big cut. Live Action Disney film "Mulan" had a Production Budget of $200,000,000 and made only $70 million in foreign box office. It probably helped the streaming service of Disney+ immensely as subscriber base is 74 million last quarter. Christopher Nolan's film "Tenet" had a Production Budget of $205,000,000 and made only $56. 3 million domestic and $297 million in foreign box office. Wonder Woman had a Production Budget of $150,000,000 in 2017 so presumably the sequel is in the $200,000,000 range. After taking such a huge bath on Tenet, the studio wisely decided to hedge their bet. HBO and HBO MAX have roughly 38 million subscribers (half the number of Disney+) although the service is twice as expensive as Disney+. |

Yes, if you have HBO through Comcast for example it is the same login. HBO Max is basically a way to get subscriptions from people who do not have HBO through a cable provider (such as a competitor to Netflix as a competing streaming service). If you have HBO you have "HBO Max". https://www.hbomax.com/do-i-already-have-access It is basically a way to get subscriptions from people who do not have cable and just use streaming services (to compete with companies like Netflix). |
