Gila National Forest, New Mexico. Cliff Dwellings.
I was amazed
Only used around the late 1200's
Nobody knows why they left
Maybe up their for safety, easily defendable
Came down once it was safe? Came down because dried up river now running again?
Only cliff dwellings that allow tourists to walk through
I just sat there and gazed out and imagined myself back in the day
This is my FB friends overall favorite photo from my travels

Yeah, that's an awesome view.

Very nice.

Have you been to Mesa Verde by four corners? https://www.nps.gov/meve/index.htm

It seems that there was a rout through the SW around 12-1400, with no one knowing why. I think it may have been something like Covid?

What does it say on the building? I see "Just sin" and then I can't make out the rest.

Still watching various travel camper videos.

One couple was talking about vehicle break down in Jackson Hole Wyoming, and the mechanics were booked for 3 weeks there. So you could get stuck for awhile if you have the misfortunate to be in the wrong place

I have a pretty rock solid F150
I bought it used with 35k miles.
I've put on 30k and its been rock solid
Just changing oil and oil and air filters
I change the oil early, 5k to 6k miles. Use top of the line air filters. Have top of the line Michelin tires.
Taking it in to the local Ford dealer tomorrow for what they call the "works". An oil and oil filter change and checking out the whole vehicle.
I stay up on maintenance
My financial situation has been excellent due to the market. I'm making a lot more in my investments and SSA then I am spending.
If it comes to it, I could trade in my truck for something newer and more powerful.
No desire to though because again, its rock solid and am happy with towing capacity.
Thinking about trading in my RV trailer
I really like it
But
Now that I've done this for almost a year
May trade in for the perfect RV for me since I can afford it. Maybe something that can handle winter and the latest solar tech. So far I like what I have. Perfect size. Very comfortable. Right now have extra bunk beds I use for storage. May get something without the bunks with more living area but same short length that I like. 24 feet. Usually one of the smallest where I camp but I'm fine and happy.
I may be like Drich but instead of a car, trade in my RV every 2 years or so.
What concerns me is that it goes through a small earthquake every time I travel. You have to constantly be looking for loose screws
If I ever get stuck for 3 weeks in something like Jackson Hole. Look at it from a positive angle. Dont have to be anywhere. Gotta live someplace. Who knows, may like Jackson Hole a lot

I could definitely see wanting more living space as opossed to extra bunk beds. What other wishes do you have for your trailer even if they are not available yet?

Nothing else really. I'm very comfortable. Maybe a window in the back. Not many have them. Just noticed one in the campground and spoke to the owner.
I'm in Elko. This stop spending a lot of time in my camper.
I've seen what there is to see which ain't much
Had dinner in probably the best restaurant in town. Best casino is Red Lion so had dinner at their best restaurant.
Just taking it easy chilling in the camper watching the Masters and seeing if Matsuyama can close the deal
Totally content and comfortable with cable TV, wi fi, kindle and video games.
I move to SLC Wed and probably find something to do everyday.
