It sucks being an independent in this country
I consider myself independent. Fiscal conservative (balance the budget) but social progressive (Gay marriage never hurt anybody)
Most states, Independents not allowed to vote in primaries.
So I pick a party with the most interesting primary

Have you considered that you may be a Libertarian?

The only memorable part of Arkansas for me was Fayetteville. I have a natural affinity for college towns, I logve walking the campuses and admiring the architecture. I also enjoyed the military special operations museum.

I like college towns but there are a gazillion of them. Leaning towards Hot Springs. This is where Al Capone vacationed. That fascinates me.
Leaving tomorrow. Checking out of Tom Sawyers RV park. Loved my week here. Literally right on the Mississippi river. Waterfront site watching the massive barges go by. This has got to be one of the best RV spots in the country.

Just had dinner at the Ohio Club established 1905. Pretty interesting. Al Capone loved gambling there back in the day. Just across the street from Bathhouse row.

Checked out a hot spring in Hot Springs AR
They really are hot
Stuck my hand in, immediately took it out. hot.
I was fascinated by Bathhouse row. Buildings are magnificent
Bathhouse row is now a national park and the bathhouses are managed by the park service
Thinking of taking a bath :-)

Google "Boiling Lake" on the island of Dominica. There was an out flow from it, a few hundred yards away, that the water had cooled to 100 or so. It was a natural hot tub in the jungle. One of my favorite travel moments. I'm not even sure if the boiling lake exists any more. Was there no natural hot spring cool enough to jump in?

The hot springs open to the public behind the historic bathhouse's are very small like a small creek. The water coming out is about 140 degrees

That's a good sauna room temp when it is just steam and not water.

Did you get lunch with a side of thighs and smoke a cigar afterwards.
