No, the dogs are rarely out for more than 5 minutes at a time. They do love to chase the squirrels, rabbits, and birds.

Sorry Ed, I didn't mean to hijack your thread. What direction do you think you are heading next?

Having lunch in the top burger joint in Des Moines today
Zombie burger
Seems a bit more buzzy then Omaha

Des Moines is a nice city. I spent five years in Iowa (University of Iowa, Iowa City).
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent.

I checked out the Dexfield park outside Dexter IA
Big Bonnie and Clyde shootout in this park
The Barrow gang was camped here recovering from a shootout in MO
Local law with a possee raided the park
The gang returned fire with superior weapons
Blanche was captured and her husband mortally wounded. Bonnie and Clyde escaped after being wounded in the gunfire
Clyde hit in the shoulder and Bonnie hit with some shotgun pellets

In the Quad cities area
Gas is cheaper in Iowa by about 50 to 70 cents
Cross the State border into Illinois and its more expensive

Do you get any use out of gas tracking apps, like gas buddy?
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

I would assume pretty much a tourist trap today. I enjoyed that show the first few years but lost interest. I don't think I ever went north of Davenport in Iowa. If you head west 50 miles or so check out Iowa City. That is where I went to school and my old stomping grounds.

Did you ever go to the Smithsonian? I went there years ago and was just thinking about it again. I would like to revisit.

Im enjoying Amish country
I'm surrounded by the Amish in Indiana of all places
I've heard of PA and OH
Lots of home made ice cream
Lots of popcorn
Lots of pretzels
Lots of auctions. Seems the preferred way of doing business
Lots of horse buggies
Lots of bonnets, hats and beards
Lots of bikes :-) and they are never locked (except mine)
I need to check out one of the local big restaurants but I need to go in with a big appetite
Lots of buffets
One of the largest flea markets in the country is here. It's not on the weekends. It's a Tues Wed market
