"From guns and sexual assault on campus to health care and abortion rights, Barrett has shown herself to be a conservative jurist and legal thinker in her rulings and academic writings. The left see's Barrett as a socially conservative mirror image of Scalia, famous for his conservative approach to constitutional interpretation and passionate dissents from the high court's abortion- and gay-rights rulings. Barrett, like Scalia, is seen as an "originalist" or "textualist." It's a philosophy that looks strictly at the text of the Constitution or statute and tries to apply original intention from the framers."

She seems like the perfect pick.
I don't understand your dislike
of her.

RGB gets replaced on SCOTUS with Trump Nominee and Breyer doesn't make it 4 more years. SCOTUS goes 7-2 Conservative/Strict Constitutional Interpretation....
Biden will have stumbled through answers at several awkward moments during the Presidential Debates and look like a teetering old man when asked to perform as a functioning human in the public spotlight.

RGB Replacement SCOTUS Confirmation AND Biden "falling off stage"
It's going to be a fun month of "fan fiction"

So you're saying she's not
a conservative? I don't get
any of what you're saying.
She seems over qualified.
Even the entire law staff at
Notre Dame has endorsed
her.

Curious that you edited A LOT of your post from 5/18 out in your selective re-quoting of it here.

N - No Action (10)
P - Postponed (3)
R - Rejected (12)

So Reagan and Nixon got 4
confirmed, Eisenhower got
5. Nixon did all of his in
the first 3 years. Trump will
likely do 5 also.

Well, all major media outlets are reporting that Amy Coney Barrett is the pick

She basically rubber stamps anything the government does - including violating civil liberties

I am sitting this election out

Trump is a great businessman but he has surrounded himself with swamp creatures giving him horrible advice

Really appreciate your honesty Ace
Thank you very much
These are the Ace posts I like
Your honest intelligent thoughts rather then just a link
Thanks again

Watched Trump introduce the next
Justice. Then I turned to CNN,
something I never do, and their
reaction was, OMG nobody was
wearing a mask! Don't they know
there's a pandemic? That was their
take on the event. Airheads..

Limbag must be disappointed. I heard him giggling about hoping it would be a Hispanic judge from Florida.

Trump's pick looks and sounds like someone familiar off a sitcom. But I can't place it yet.
