If the Dems do win the Presidency and take the Senate, and do expand the Court (three BIG “ifs” there), I have no doubt the GOP will then add more seats next time they have the presidency/Senate.

I’m fine with that.... No more decades of only one side controlling the court. Sounds good to me.

And how do you imagine that adding more justices would negate any one side from controlling the Court?

Why not have only 2 justices - one leaning left and one leaning right
A unanimous decision would mean bi-partisan agreement

Maybe I’m naive. But I don’t feel now that ‘one side’ is controlling the court NOW. I see many examples of decisions that are NOT along ‘Party lines’. The lifetime appointment aspect takes away a lot of the leverage the appointing party theoretically has over the Justice. I think already Gorsuch has made a few ‘surprise’ rulings.

I really don’t follow the SC that closely, so maybe others have some facts to show I’m right .... or wrong....

You are correct SOOPOO - Chief Justice Roberts routinely sides with the liberal wing of the Court

You are falling into the liberal fallacy that there is supposed to be "control" of the court. They court is supposed to judge. Liberals are upset that a court might strike down their agenda. It started with FDR and continues to this day.

This is obviously not correct.

If it were, the right wouldn’t care how many judges were on the court or who appointed them.

But as the past four years have demonstrated, confirming judges is pretty much the ONLY thing the right has cared about.

Just look at all of Fleaswatter’s (whatever happened to him?) “making the judiciary great again” posts.

What's ironic is, super socialist
FDR tried to pack the court,
was slapped down hard, and
ended up not picking a single
justice for the 12 years he was
there. ,

LOL. I wrote that at 3:30 AM and
thought I should fact check it
and didn't. Who the heck was
I thinking of. Was I thinking at
all. Pretty funny.

My view
Biden should not pack the court yet
Lets see what decisions come down
If the court goes off the rails and it might.
New justice is a religious nut. That scares me when a judge looks to god on how to decide a case
If the court decides that rights the clear majority views as constitutional (abortion, gay maraige) are unconstitutional then yea, pack the courts to give back the rights of the people

Understood. Meaning if the SC makes rulings YOU disagree with they MUST be wrong. The Liberal Democrat philosophy summed up.

By the way.... when you say religious nut.... how do you define such? Is anyone who believes in God a religious nut?

Lol, no worries there. The only
packing going on where the
Biden Crime Family boss is
going is fudge packing..

No
The clear majority of Americans, not Dems, Americans believe abortion and gay marriage are constitutional rights. To take those rights away is a court off the rails
