To me the biggest nothing burger is the Biden/Harris team not being given access to all the stuff they want now. It is of course childish of the Trump administration, but not of consequence. If after the electoral college votes to LEGALLY make Biden the President elect, and Trump is still intransigent, then I would take legal action if I was the Biden/Harris team.

The Biden/Harris team has no legal authority on any matters until January 20. I think a month+ of preparation will do them fine.

Trump got his first PDB on November 15, 2016, well before the electoral college made trump legally president-elect.

In 2000, both Bush and Gore got the PDB following the election, also long before Bush was legally president-elect. Gore was already receiving it as VP.

So, this year is a departure from past practices.

Biden himself doesn't seem to be making a big deal of it. He said, a few days ago I think, “Obviously the PDB would be useful but, it’s not necessary. I’m not the sitting president now.”

Hey, officially there is no "China virus" either even though some people insist on calling it that. But we do know a virus exists, just as we know Biden will be President and Trump will be leaving on his own two feet or by the elbows as carried out by the Secret Service.

They are being given the same consideration Bill Clinton gave Bush43. The precedent was set in 2000.

My political tendencies have been remarkably similar my entire life. Conservative with exception of pro woman’s right to an abortion. Never been close to being a liberal. Ever. The point isBiden will be President on January 20. No reason to not start doing whatever is normally done to transition. But I’m sure mid November it is more for show than substance. Even Biden acknowledged that.
