It was bound to happen with the President's horrible poll numbers and the balance of power in the Democrat party, members of the party are now labeling themselves "Normal Democrats" as opposed to the other kind. I am beginning to wonder if the Biden reconciliation bill chances of passing re falling lower each day. Despite what some here say, he wasn't elected to be FDR nor did he get that mandate from the voters in the Congress. That does not mean there is no chance of forcing something through, just that it seems to be less possible each passing day.

The Infrastructure Bill is a minor win. It should have passed under Trump, so Biden gets credit on getting it done. It is bipartisan, which means that both parties supported the passage to some extent. The thing is that "infrastructure"--roads and bridges--is something that should just happen and is no great feat of power.

Anyway...we shall see what happens...

It depends on how you define ‘bipartisan’. I think around 29? Republicans out of 260ish voted for it. If having around 10% of the elected Republicans vote for it I would call it a Democrat bill with minimal Republican support. Bipartisan to me would mean majority of BOTH parties would be for it.

I think one recent bill passed with a single Republican vote. Do you consider that a bipartisan bill?

19 out of 50 Senators voted for it. Fewer Republicans in the House voted for it because the vote there did not come up until much later and there are more and more signs of the balance of power shifting in 2022. The bill isn't perfect, but we have ignored physical infrastructure for too long. If the Democrat Socialists had not co-opted the Presidency, a better bill would have been passed with more support across party lines. They are out to destroy their own party unless they get their way. I am not at all upset by that...I hope they fail to pass the monstrosity now before them and assist in a Republican march to power in Congress.

If the Republicans win house and senate in 2022, they will not be close to a veto proof majority in either chamber. I wonder if they will just present bill after bill that Biden will veto, or will they even a little work with the White House. I am always happiest when one of the 3 powers is different from the other two.

There are so many funny memes out there now about what is being referred to as 'Poopgate' in the media.

Notice the white chair has a brown smear stain on it. LOL

I’m all for a funny meme, but this one genuinely confused me. Where is the smear EB mentions??

The Build Back Better Act would cost $4.91 trillion, not $1.75 trillion as Democrats have claimed, according to a study released Monday.

Not only does it not cost nothing as Captain Poopypants claims, going to cost the American people almost 5 trillion dollars. oops

"The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget released their analysis of the Democrats’ reconciliation infrastructure bill, the Build Back Better Act."

So this committee and the Wharton School have both said after digging deep into this that there is nothing free here. It is going to cost far more than what they say it is. And we still have to hear from the federal budget office which is looking into it right now. Joe manchin says he's not going to even consider voting until he figures out what impact this is going to have on an already beleaguered economy. Of course it's going to sink it even further. You don't spend 5 trillion dollars during runaway inflation. It's suicide.

Based on EB's accuracy of information in general, he may need cataract surgery.

Can we start a gofundme at 1 penny. Maybe we can get it up to $5 for EB's laser surgery by the end of the year. He sees election fraud where there isn't any. Proof enough, he can't see clearly.
