Socialism and Shortages

The other subjects are normally controlled by socialists. And what did they recently do? They devised a system based upon paper (diploma). And in order to get that paper, the youngsters became indebted for close to $1.75T. While simultaneously, their endowments make more money than the Federal Reserve does on behalf of the government. That's screwed up. So where did the money flow (who got the $1.75T)? |

So naturally, they want the taxpayers to pay for the $1.75T. Then they can do it again with fresh new recruits. So folks like me pay for our own college plus other folks' college. Before long, I might have to pay for ten educations but I only received one. |

What would you call an education system where if there was not enough money volunteered to support a school system in a poor area, so it goes without? I'd call it capitalism. What would you call a education system where the American confederacy is revered and heroic in the school books and ethnic communities barely exist because that's what the surrounding community pay for and wants? I'd call it capitalism. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |

DoubleGold Member since: Jan 26, 2023 Threads: 30 Posts: 2506 | The USA has had state sponsored socialism (school) for a long time. The teachers are employed by the state. Fortunately, the state has allowed parents to home-school or attend private school. Otherwise, the students are usually indoctrinated by the college age. The kids don't even realize it and many parents don't realize it. At that college age, they're trained to believe they have to incur debt to be able to get a good job. When they get done with college loaded with debt, and if they have kids, guess what they teach their kids? -------------------------------------------------- Socialism in Education . . . Whether in Cuba, North Korea, Vietnam, or the United States, the educational system is based on force. Under what are called compulsory attendance laws, parents are required to submit their children to a state-approved education. If they refuse, they are threatened with jail and fines until they comply. . . . https://libertarianinstitute.org/articles/socialism-in-education/ --------------------------------------------------- |

odiousgambit Member since: Oct 28, 2012 Threads: 154 Posts: 5104 | It has to do with free enterprise. The egg producers, for the most part unhampered by central planning, and with a profit motive, got cracking like they always do and set it right quickly. No pun intended. In a socialist country, the central planners would have created price controls, so eggs were not so expensive. The egg producers produce then even less eggs. Empty shelves time! But some of the egg farmers would figure out that the shortages were good for them, as some of the higher authorities would come them and say, " we know the shelves are empty, but you've got to take care of us and ours, because we are important." This gives power to those who control the egg production and shortages will continue indefinitely. Meanwhile Joe Biden's counterpart is sent out to blame the other egg producers. And the US.
