Charlie Watts, 80

Saw the Stones live back in the day
I think it was 1977
Saw them again around 2005
They always put on a good show.
I have a "mix tape" of their 50th anniversary tour with all the songs with guests

I saw them at the MGM Grand Arena around 2005. Great show. They do very well in concert, although it may have been overly-planned out. I also like musicians like Bruce Springsteen who, I think can be said, improvise a little each show in what they play and stories they tell.

One common trivia question I ask is to name the four Rolling Stones. Charlie Watts is probably the most frequent one people miss.

Wow
Pretty shocking
Original member of the core 5
I would think people would miss Brian Jones
Never saw him live
Or
Ron Wood, new member
Or
Mick Taylor who left the band

You certainly know your Stones. I meant the four current Rolling Stones. I order, people are likely to know Mick, Keith, Bill, and Charlie, though this is not a big nor scientific sampling.

Here is one of my favorite videos.

I never expected him to outlive Mary.

And Mary's original TV husband, Dick Van Dyke is still alive at 95.

Ed Asner 91

John Wayne hated Ed Asner to such an extent that he refused to speak to him or even to use his name on the movie they made together in the sixties. Ed Asner was a huge NYC Libbie and he would constantly lecture John Wayne for being a patriot. He got so sick of it he just avoided the guy. He referred to him as that 'New York actor' instead of using his name.
