I don't normally dislike storms, but the timing of Sandy stinks. Just when I thought we'd gotten through hurricane season unscathed, here comes a big one. It's been unusually warm which has made for a good Fall baseball season, but now there's a forecast for snow inland where my son is in college and we're looking at having our tournament rained out this weekend and the outdoor Halloween activities will be a soggy mess if they get held at all.

I bet the kids are praying for school to be cancelled Monday and Tuesday.

Son of a bitch, we're right in the path, NE PA. Sunday morning I have to sandbag the garage doors to keep water out. check the flashlight batteries, etc.

Hopfully, it will be sound and fury signifying nothing... but I am glad that you will be prepared for an extended period without electricity.

Last time we had a big windstorm way way way inland here,
we were without power for 3 or 4 days. Cross your fingers.

That took the Mrs. right up to the breaking point. We didn't
have power but the school did, so the rest of the family
had to go to school

Sandy still hasn't made that turn yet. That's gotta be hard to predict.
